DataSafe HX top terminal batteries are the ideal source of power to protect vital systems. DataSafe HX top terminal batteries incorporate select design features that maximize reliability while ensuring superior performance and an excellent service life. Gas recombination technology for VRLA batteries has completely changed the concept of standby power. The minimal level of gas evolution allows battery installation in cabinets or on stands, in offices or near main equipment, maximizing space utilization and reducing storage and maintenance costs. The DataSafe 12HX680F-FR battery offers the convenience and lower maintenance costs of a front terminal battery design but still delivers the power required for demanding high rate UPS applications. The EnerSys® DataSafe® XE range of front and top terminal batteries has been specifically developed to meet the challenging demands of the modern UPS market sector.

UPS batteries that historically focused on a 15 minute rate discharge have become increasingly ineffective in fulfilling the growing need for sub five minute autonomies. Furthermore, the pressure to lower energy costs by minimising air conditioning in equipment rooms results in a trend towards higher operating temperatures. 

To meet these requirements, EnerSys has optimised its worldrenowned, advanced Thin Plate Pure Lead (TPPL) technology to deliver five monoblocs with outstanding features and benefits. The PowerSafe® DDm battery range offers an ideal solution for large capacity Valve Regulated Lead Acid (VRLA) battery requirements. 

The PowerSafe DDm battery’s steel can (module) design, with its integral racking system, provides a cost effective battery system. This creates a compact, quick and simple installation process. The PowerSafe DDm battery system’s cutting-edge technology incorporates an enhanced cell design with a superior racking system. The enhanced cell incorporates thicker positive plates for longer life. The welded/epoxy, dual post seal design provides the highest integrity seal in the industry. The large copper post design also enhances the high rate performance. 

Cells are encased in dedicated protective steel cans (modules) thaT maintain constant, uniform compression for the life of the cell. The easy to assemble racking system provides total flexibility for system configuration and its built-in thermal management allows air flow between the cells, resulting in fast, effortless installation even in the most difficult locations. 

The PowerSafe DDm battery, with its optimized recombination technology and extra thick plates, provides excellent performance and service life for mission critical systems.

Description

The DataSafe™ DX range of flooded lead calcium flat plate batteries has been designed for use in UPS applications, more specifically large data centers, which demand the highest levels of security and reliability. The proven reliability of DataSafe DX as a leading high rate performance battery is backed by 20 + years of experience in the marketplace. 

The DataSafe DX is an economical multi-cell calcium flat plate battery. Multi-cell construction requires fewer units, resulting in lower installation cost. While optimizing the space available in the battery room, it delivers superior performance making the DataSafe DX a superlative cost effective battery.

The DataSafe DX features EnerSys’s time tested Slide-Lock™ post seal design, bolted lead plated copper connectors, optimal grid design, heavy duty plate lug and strap, and dual lug design, which make this battery ideal for high rate applications.

All battery systems are rated at 100% capacity at initial discharge. The DataSafe DX has a 20 year life expectancy in float service at 77°F (25°C) ambient temperature.
